Your dryer works by pulling heated air through wet laundry and pushing the moisture outside. The duct that carries that air out is the part almost nobody thinks about — until it stops doing its job.

What a healthy vent system looks like
A well-built vent run is as short and straight as the house allows, sealed with metal tape instead of screws, and finished with an exterior hood that opens freely when the dryer runs.
- Rigid or semi-rigid metal duct, never plastic or foil film
- Minimal elbows and no crushed sections behind the dryer
- A clean, unobstructed exterior vent cover
- Strong airflow you can feel outside while the dryer runs
Why lint builds up
Your lint screen only catches part of what comes off your clothes. The rest travels into the duct and settles wherever airflow slows down — bends, long horizontal runs, and the exterior hood. Over a year of normal laundry that residue can pack tight enough to choke the system.
What we do about it
We inspect the full run, clean it with rotating brushes and high-suction vacuums, verify airflow, and tell you plainly if anything in the system needs repair or replacement.
